10 months WHAT

Image
Where did the last month go? I mean it feels like it was just yesterday I was telling you that my baby was 9 months old and now I'm telling you he is 10 months!! He's lived outside the womb longer than he was in it!!! This is so not fair!! But Prince T you light up every room you enter!! You are loving and curious and adventurous!! You are a wonderful blend of personality of your brothers.  You have a calm disposition like Chandler but you want to explore every inch of your world like Lil Man!! This month you've taught us that you don't like vegetables, they just aren't your thing, unless they are raw, then you will eat them like they are going out of style. You aren't much of a fan of fruit either, but can devour a banana like nothing and will eat oranges.  Unlike Lil Man, berries are not your favourite! You are crawling and motoring around the house and you are starting to pull yourself up, no not starting you are consistently pullin...

Best and Worst things about my 35th year

Image
One of the journal prompts I have has asked me to list the three best things that happened last year and in a separate question it's asked for the three worst things that happened last year.  So today we are going to reflect on the past year. I will start with the worst, because I'd rather end on a positive note then negative.  Last year I turned 35, I was 7 months pregnant and was winding down my work in preparation for the arrival of our newest child.  Last year was a really good year, the worst things that happened weren't really that bad, but there were a couple things that stood out. Last March, on March 12, my sister's birthday I contracted a virus of some sort.  It attacked my ear and I had the worst case of vertigo EVER. I couldn't keep both eyes open, I was in the ER two days in a row, because I couldn't eat anything, everything was coming up. I was extremely dizzy and I was very worried about the baby.  How could he be fine if I wasn't eating a...

5 Months has gone by

Image
I'm so bad at this sometimes!! I just get out of a groove and forget to post and then I get behind and blah blah blah... anyways, it seems like it's been so much longer than 5 months but there you go, Prince T is now 5 months old!! He's so expressive and active that he's doing something new each day!! He has some of the best smiles I have ever seen, when he's really happy or excited about something he smiles so big his eyes turn into quarter moons!! He is talking more and more each day, not with words as I have to explain to Lil Man, but he's exercising his vocal cords and I fear I have another chatter box on my hands. He's mastered rolling over and he's trying to crawl.  He loves his jolly jumper and his exosaucer!! He's starting to sleep better through the nights and is even starting to soothe himself back to sleep should he wake up momentarily.  We've got a 7-8 o'clock bedtime which works really well and he'll sleep until mid...

Double celebration today

Image
Today our Teddybear is 3 months old!! He's growing so fast!! This past month he's rolled over, he's gone in his exosaucer. He's travelled to the zoo and had a great visit with his cousins.  He's even gotten into a routine a little bit and mommy likes it!! Teddybear you are a delightful child and we love you so much!! slow down on the growing up though  because we want to enjoy every minute of you!!  You have an amazing smile, a cute laugh (only heard that one once) You are a professional snuggle bug, and the only time it's difficult is when I'm trying to type and you kick the computer!!   Currently you like, sleeping, cuddling, playing in the exosaucer, bath time, tummy time and rolling over. Currently you dislike being put down, wet and dirty diapers, loud noises and long car rides. As the title says though this is a double celebration day, because on this day three years ago I married my love!! It was a beautiful day in Lake Taho...

Teddy Bear is growing up

Image
When I had Chandler I was very young, and I had the energy of the young on my side, and he was an amazing sleeper, I'm older now and the energy I had in my early 20s has long since vanished.  I was able to have my Chandler sleep in his bed quite early and he slept for 8 hours a night, it was wonderful, I didn't know babies didn't usually do that, so when Lil Man was born, well I was shocked.  He was a terrible sleeper, he'd cat nap through the day and was up two to three times a night, every night and hated sleeping in any bed buy mine, so he slept in our bed for a long time and would crawl into our bed every night for years, he'd finally stopped but now he's sort of started again.  And now I have Teddybear, he's a much better sleeper than Lil Man, but I'm not noticing him being as good a sleeper as Chandler, but I'm thinking it's more a me thing then a him thing. Why would I say that you ask?  Well....... I have Teddybear's bassinet in m...

Choosing a name for Baby T

Image
His arrival was much anticipated!! It was a month prior to him finally arriving that we first thought he would make his entrance, but he kept us waiting, past the first due date, past the second due date all the way to the third predicted due date.  (I'll be honest I don't understand due dates, I figured baby would arrive May 11, dating ultrasound said the 9th and the 20 week ultra sound said the 15th, I don't understand how they can all be different but they were and he waited until the last due date on the list to make his arrival) While we waited for Baby T to arrive we had to choose a name.  Now this is a bit of a funny story, at least I find it humorous.  My husband works away and from past experience, when Lil Man was born, he's not really great at picking names, I basically have to give him options and he'll then help me decide from that point.  So I sent hubby a text with a name and I was in love with the name it was T. Jenson, and I was convinced we...

updating a dresser change table

Image
So I completed my first do it yourself project.... ok maybe not my first, but the first one this year. I took an old change table dresser and painted it.  I wanted to do something just for Baby T, because, well let's be honest, Baby T is the third boy and is going to be living in the land of hand me downs, so he needed something that was just his, which he got when I redid this dresser. I was thinking of doing an ombre look for the dresser but then I didn't want to buy a lot of different paints so I went with two colours.  A really dark blue for the drawers and door and then a light blue for the rest.  It was a lot of work but also a lot of fun. Here are some pictures from the project. started out with a  pine look gave the drawers a quick sanding to help keep the paint on blueberry for the drawers It should have only been a day project, but I took a week to complete this project. More because I took 5 days off before working on the project a...

Starting the process to get this labour going

Image
So today was officially my last day of work before I go on Maternity leave. I am very excited to be on Maternity leave. Work was getting stressful and I am so tired from not sleeping that I needed to leave. I had contemplated leaving six weeks earlier but I toughed it out and have made it to the end of my pregnancy. With my due date being 14 days away, I am now trying to induce labour early. I have been doing research (read looking on line) for ways to induce my labour. There are a few that everyone knows about and some that I had never heard of before. So from now on until this little child enters the world I shall be trying to induce labour. There were many suggestions online to induce labour. These suggestions included acupressure, nipple stimulation, sex, spicy food, raspberry tea, pineapple, and Castor oil. With my first pregnancy I tried Castor oil, four by fouring, and sex. None of these options worked then, the only thing that worked was contractions starting and...
