Life's Whirlwind Adventures

 My littlest turned three just a little while ago, and I am at a loss for words to describe how I feel about this.  I can't believe my last baby is three, and he's becoming a threenager for sure.  But he's still super sweet at times but is definitely figuring out where he fits in this world.  Prince T and spend the day together, just the two of us. After getting his brother off to school Prince T and I went for a play date then we hit up the library to get some books. Prince T is in the challenge to read 1000 books by the time he's five, so we have some reading to do ahead. He loves to read and insists on reading the book we just read to us after each reading.  Sometimes Prince T will even indulge me in a selfie, sometimes he's even willing to smile! After a lunch at Macdonald's (his choice) we headed to pick up his big brother from school.  Then we headed to the park to play for a little while.  His big brother loves Prince T, and 50% ...

It seems that gone are the days when every birthday party was the same.  From 1-4 you had family over, opened presents, ate some cake, took some pictures and let the kids do what toddlers do.  Then from 5-8 you played simple games like Pin the tail on the donkey, musical chairs or pop the balloon, cake, presents and then home.  9-12 you might have sleep overs and watch movies, eat popcorn, maybe even go to a hotel or the city for a special trip.  Then in the teen aged years it was really whatever you wanted to do, movies, parties at the house, but you were old enough to start planning them yourself and parents were able to take a glorious backseat and just finance the excursion. photo by TripleTenPhotography Now birthday parties are to the extreme!! The Schnell family is a very close family that enjoys holding family reunion events at least once a year if not twice a year, I am so blessed to have been brought into this family.  Just to be clear, this is my husbands maternal family and I really, and truly love them all. After all my gallivanting around the world, ok North and Central America, I came home in time to celebrate birthday's for two uncles.  So we had a mini family reunion the first weekend in May. And I got to drive my new car down too!!! For me family is so important, I love all my family and I cherish the time I get to spend with my family. It's not as frequent as I would like, but when we do it's always a good time.  So to all my family, new and old, blood and chosen, I am very grateful to have you in my life and I love you all!!!

So this year on March 8 th I had another birthday, surprised I was not it comes every year, but it was less then eventful this year again.  Yet this year again, I missed Chan’s soccer final, so next year I have to be there, no matter what!!             I didn’t work on my birthday, I enjoy not working on my birthday and if you are able to I suggest that you not work on your birthday, it’s very nice!! For my day off I just hung out and then went for lunch with the girls from work.  I am still in love with my job, which is such a weird thing to say, even if I do have periods of less productivity, I am happy to go to work everyday and I am happy to be at work.  For years, I mean really since I was working at the Bakery, I haven’t felt this way about any job that was on my career path.  I’ve enjoyed my waitressing jobs, but they were just tide me over jobs, they were not jobs I was going to have...

Lil Man has  a lot of friends born in January, I guess people drank a lot around St. Patrick's Day and Easter... but we had fun. Lil Man went to another birthday party, for a friend of mine's little girl.  She is nine months older than Lil Man but like half a foot taller.  Lil Man was enthralled with her, he followed her around and they played.  He had a really good time, I wish they still lived in town but now they live in Leduc so we don't get as many playdates as we would like.  Lil man ate snacks, played with the piano, played dress up and threw a temper tantrum when it was time to go.  I didn't get many pictures and the ones I did get are very blurry. Today was a fun day!! We celebrated with all kinds of friends and family the first birthday of Little Man!! He did not nap all day until after his party so it was a precarious situation not knowing how he would react as the day got later and later. To start off the day, we had a family breakfast together. Just the four of us.  As much as I would have loved to have had everyone over it was nice to just have the four of us at home.  Mr. (Uncle) Noodles then came over and Uncle Ty with his family which is when we left to head out to the birthday party. We all went out to the Jungle Farm out by Innisfail, Alberta.  It is a U-Pick farm that has some extra activities to participate with. After paying for our entrances we all got on the tractor to head back to the activities.  Upon arriving in the activities area we took Little Man to the animal feeding area.  Little Man really seemed to enjoy feeding the animals.  Then Little Man played in the bouncy ball pit....

So much is happening now and it makes me wonder if I should start treating this blog like an online diary.  However, I am not comfortable sharing all my personal thoughts and experiences online.  So I am trying to work out what this blog will be about and I am trying to narrow down the focus so I can keep my topics focused as such.  Meh... I can just about do whatever I wish and it's alright because this is my blog right?? So far in March we finished our Biggest Loser Competition.  I am happy to say that I was the winner, I lost 4.5% of my body weight, I still have another 10% to lose for me to be at my ideal weight, but I am VERY excited about the loss that I have made so far!!! I also attended mediation for my dad's estate.  I am happy to say that the nightmare is ending, that an agreement was reached and I can now breath easier and so much stress has now been lifted off my shoulders, but that is for another blog altogether.
