I need to SLEEP

Image
I am self professed morning person,  I love early mornings, sunrises, hearing the house wake, hearing the city wake as traffic increases, when I was in the country I loved hearing the birds warble, everything about mornings I find refreshing and lovely. You know when I don't like mornings?  I don't like mornings when I have been up every hour or every two hours with a screaming, crying baby!! It sucks the life right out of me, I don't even like afternoons, evenings or nights at that point.  I still love mornings in theory, but in actuality with three kids one a baby that won't sleep through the night I knew I needed to do something so that I could sleep through the night. I would say it's been a good year since I've had a decent nights sleep. I suffered from heartburn when I was pregnant so that would wake me up in the middle of the night, my baby would try to Irish Dance on my bladder around 4 am every morning as well (To clarify, 4 am is too early in t...

Teddy Bear is growing up

When I had Chandler I was very young, and I had the energy of the young on my side, and he was an amazing sleeper, I'm older now and the energy I had in my early 20s has long since vanished.  I was able to have my Chandler sleep in his bed quite early and he slept for 8 hours a night, it was wonderful, I didn't know babies didn't usually do that, so when Lil Man was born, well I was shocked.  He was a terrible sleeper, he'd cat nap through the day and was up two to three times a night, every night and hated sleeping in any bed buy mine, so he slept in our bed for a long time and would crawl into our bed every night for years, he'd finally stopped but now he's sort of started again.  And now I have Teddybear, he's a much better sleeper than Lil Man, but I'm not noticing him being as good a sleeper as Chandler, but I'm thinking it's more a me thing then a him thing. Why would I say that you ask?  Well....... I have Teddybear's bassinet in m...

My Family in the Morning

The alarm clock sounds and all I hear is a groan.  I squeeze my eyes shut, hoping against all that is holy, that today he will just get up and quietly get ready for the day and allow me to sleep for that extra hour.  Grunts and groans sound from the other side of the bed and I am sure some expletive words are being muttered under his breath.  Quietly, monitoring my breath in and my breath out trying to mimicking sleeping, relaxing as he crawls out of bed and heads into the hallway.   I know that I have at least 15 minutes to cat nap while he completes his morning routine in the bathroom.  Ouph, oh wait I have to reposition the littlest bed hog on the face of the planet.  With a king size bed that you could essentially have three grown people sleeping in, I am almost falling off the edge of the bed because the toddler has crawled into bed with me and his father.  After a second kick in the ribs and a whap of hands into my ear, I shove the bed t...
