Riverdale Episode 4

I LOVED that this episode revolved around the Drive In.  A nostalgic relic from the past that I still think most families enjoy partaking in. Jughead is the main character of this story along with the South Side Serpents, and Archie and Miss Grundy.  Let's start with the south side Serpents. The South Side Serpents are a biker gang in Riverdale.  The generally take over territory in the south area but they have been hanging out at the Drive In a lot. We find out the Hermoine Lodge has dealings with the Serpents for her husband, and that she has also given a bag of cash to the Mayor for her help in purchasing the Drive In property.  The South Side Serpents are hanging around the Drive In at the behest of Hiram Lodge to bring the property value of the Drive In down so he can purchase the land for a business deal.  It has worked and Lodge Industries or a private LLC that he owns is now the owner of the Drive In.  It is set to be demolished the next day and...

Day in the Life Friday Five

Today is another Friday Five Link Up with the wonderful ladies Mar, Cynthia and Courtney !! Check out their blogs for some great reads!! So happy I found this link up!! It's hard for me to chronicle my days, because at this moment in time they are never exactly the same. Some I send the kids to school and relish in the silence, some Lil man is home and we are constantly on the go doing one activity or another.  Some days are weekends, everyone is home and we've got playdates and sports and activities planned. That being said, there are things I do every day, regardless of what's actually going on, they are routine and they are my favourite parts of everyday. 1) Waking up and checking my phone.  I check my phone for weather, for texts, for emails and sometimes twitter and Instagram.  I love rolling over and checking my phone before I roll out of bed, it's a way to make human connection.  It's dumb, but it's not, I also check my calendar to make sure I...

My family at supper

So this is an every day occurrence in most family homes, somedays it's a little more frantic than others, but it is a common denominator for families.  I think supper is the one meal that most families have in which they do together and one night while I was glancing at the boys sitting at my table, I wondered if what a normal supper for me is what is normal for everyone else. Most nights we have a buffet style supper, there just is not enough room on the table to have four plates, four glasses, and at least three serving dishes.  We eat at a small round table and for some reason when I picked out dishes I wanted I picked out the biggest set of dishes I could find. I loved them at the time but I am kind of over them now, they are just so big and bulky, but I digress.  So after my hubby or I get Lil Man his plate we get our own plate and sit down at the table.  While eating during the week the television is on, it's either on a sitcom we all enjoy or Disney Junior s...

30 Day Challenge Day 3

Your favorite television program I can't pick just one. I was really trying to pick just one, but I can't limit my choices.  If I had been asked this question four years ago, I would have been quick to provide an answer, Friends.  Friends is still one of my favourites and I have all ten seasons on DVD, but there are have been a few new shows that have caught my attention in recent years and they aren't edging Friends out, but they are making Friends balance on the top to share that pedestal. My new favourite comedy is Big Bang Theory.  I think those guys are hilarious!! The comedic timing and dry sense of humour is very indicative of the type of humour I most enjoy.  I really hope this series stays around for the long haul. I used to love CSI, and I still like it, but in the drama department Criminal Minds and Grey's Anatomy would be in top spot.  I enjoy the story lines and the mystery that is in every Criminal Minds is great.  When I was in High School...
