Friday Five: Five Ways to Spice up Date night

I was originally going to have this post come out for the Friday before Valentine's Day but things happened as you can see from my posts this week so this is coming out just before my 9th anniversary with my husband. That's a long time man, but it's been good and I am happy to continue choosing this adventure with him. So I have teamed up with Turo  to come up with some ways to make Date Night more memorable!! So Here are Five ways I think you can add a little spice to Date night. 1) Written love notes.  I love written love notes, finding messages scrawled on my white board or on post its just brightens up any day.  I feel that love notes have become something that is considered antiquated but they can help set the tone for the whole day leading up to date night. They can be little posts it proclaiming your love for the other person or your excitement to go on this date with them.  But including written love notes in your date will definitely spice things up. ...

Five Years Ago on the 15th of August

I did a little something and got married!! No we didn't elope or anything, we planned it out and in the end it was the perfect day! My husband and I got engaged in 2009 and two years later we were married.  Yup it wasn't something we rushed into, although we did get engaged a year and a half after dating then sort of tested the waters for a bit.  I'd always had a plan to get married in Lake Tahoe, you know my favourite place on the planet!! After taking my husband there in 2010 he agreed that this would be a wonderful place for a wedding. Now we decided to get married on a Monday in the summer, not the most popular day granted, but since we were travelling from Canada this would give everyone a little time to travel down for the wedding and not feel rushed trying to make a Saturday wedding or having to leave right after. We were all on vacation anyways so it didn't matter what day of the week we chose.  We had friends and family coming from California as well, not...

Double celebration today

Today our Teddybear is 3 months old!! He's growing so fast!! This past month he's rolled over, he's gone in his exosaucer. He's travelled to the zoo and had a great visit with his cousins.  He's even gotten into a routine a little bit and mommy likes it!! Teddybear you are a delightful child and we love you so much!! slow down on the growing up though  because we want to enjoy every minute of you!!  You have an amazing smile, a cute laugh (only heard that one once) You are a professional snuggle bug, and the only time it's difficult is when I'm trying to type and you kick the computer!!   Currently you like, sleeping, cuddling, playing in the exosaucer, bath time, tummy time and rolling over. Currently you dislike being put down, wet and dirty diapers, loud noises and long car rides. As the title says though this is a double celebration day, because on this day three years ago I married my love!! It was a beautiful day in Lake Taho...

Two Years!!

It sometimes seems hard to believe, but Adrian and I have been together for two years now.  It's hard to believe because it feels like it should be longer. I do feel like I have known him forever, but it's only been two years.  It hasn't always been easy, but it's never been hard, if that makes any sense.  I can't say I know without a shadow of a doubt what the next few years will bring, but I am confident of this. As long as Adrian and I continue to keep our communication up and are willing to work through things, everything will be fine.  He's a great guy and I have definitely fooled him lol, just kidding, I am not that evil.  We have fun together and at times it feels like we have to work through different areas of life, it never feels like we are working against each other, just with each other.  I don't believe relationships should ever always be super easy, and if yours is then that's wonderful, but I believe to keep a relationship going stro...
